Deposit Policy

Applied Engineering, Innovation, and Technology (AEIT) supports the dissemination and sharing of knowledge through the use of institutional and subject repositories. We encourage authors to deposit their research articles in appropriate repositories to maximise the visibility and impact of their work.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit versions of their work in their own website, institutional repository, or other repositories of their choice. This includes:

  1. Preprint (Pre-peer-review) Version:
    • Authors may deposit the preprint version of their manuscript in any institutional or subject repository.
    • The preprint should include a statement that it is a pre-peer-review version of the manuscript and, once accepted, should be updated with a link to the final published version in AEIT.
  2. Postprint (Post-peer-review) Version:
    • Authors may deposit the postprint version (the final peer-reviewed manuscript, but not the publisher's formatted PDF) in any institutional or subject repository without any embargo.
    • The postprint should include a citation of the published article in AEIT and, where possible, a link to the journal's website.
  3. Published Version (Publisher's PDF):
    • Authors may deposit the publisher's PDF (the final published version) in any institutional or subject repository immediately upon publication.
    • The published version should include a citation of the article as it appears in AEIT and a link to the article on the journal's website.

Compliance with Funding Requirements

We recognise that many research funders require authors to deposit their work in open access repositories. Our deposit policy is designed to help authors comply with these requirements. Authors can deposit any version of their manuscript as required by their funding agency, provided that proper attribution is given to the published article in AEIT.
