Archiving Policy

Applied Engineering, Innovation, and Technology (AEIT) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To achieve this, we employ multiple archiving strategies and services.

Digital Archiving

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): AEIT uses the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN) to digitally preserve our journal content. PKP PN utilises the Keepers Registry to create a decentralised and distributed preservation archive. This ensures that our journal content is preserved and accessible even in the event of a catastrophic failure.
  • Internet Archive: AEIT also archives its content with the Internet Archive. The Internet Archive is a non-profit digital library that provides free access to millions of books, movies, software, music, websites, and more. By archiving our journal with the Internet Archive, we ensure that our content is preserved and remains accessible to the public.

Purpose of Archiving

The primary purposes of our archiving policy are to:

  • Guarantee the long-term preservation of our published content.
  • Ensure that our content remains accessible to researchers, practitioners, and the public.
  • Protect the integrity and authenticity of the scholarly record.

Archiving Process

  1. Regular Backups: Our digital content is regularly backed up and securely stored to prevent data loss.
  2. Distribution Across Multiple Repositories: By using multiple archiving services (PKP PN and Internet Archive), we ensure that our content is distributed across various geographic locations, enhancing its security and longevity.
