Applied Engineering, Innovation, and Technology (AEIT) is committed to the long-term preservation of its published content and supports authors in maximizing the visibility and accessibility of their work.
Digital Archiving
The journal employs multiple archiving services to ensure the permanent preservation and accessibility of all published content:
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): The journal uses the PKP Private LOCKSS Network, operated by Simon Fraser University, to digitally preserve its published content. PKP PLN is built on LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology, which creates a decentralized and distributed preservation archive. The journal's preservation status is registered with the Keepers Registry, ensuring long-term accessibility even in the event of a catastrophic system failure.
- Internet Archive: The journal also archives its content with the Internet Archive, a non-profit digital library that provides free public access to preserved digital content.
Published content is regularly backed up and distributed across multiple repositories to enhance security, geographic redundancy, and long-term availability. The archiving policy is periodically reviewed to reflect new technologies and best practices in digital preservation.

Deposit Policy
The journal supports open dissemination of research and encourages authors to deposit their work in institutional or subject repositories. Authors are permitted to deposit the following versions of their manuscript:
- Preprint (pre-peer-review version): May be deposited in any repository at any time. The deposit should include a statement that it is a pre-peer-review version, and once the article is accepted, should be updated with a link to the final published version.
- Postprint (post-peer-review, pre-formatted version): May be deposited in any repository immediately upon acceptance, without embargo. The deposit should include a citation to the published article and, where possible, a link to the journal website.
- Published version (publisher's PDF): May be deposited in any repository immediately upon publication. The deposit should include a full citation and a direct link to the article on the journal website.
Authors whose funders require open access deposit are supported under this policy and may deposit any version of their manuscript as required, provided proper attribution to the published article is included.
