Article Processing Charge

To support the journal’s operations, Journal of Power, Energy, and Control (PEC) requires an Article Processing Charge (APC) once a manuscript has been accepted for publication. This fee covers the cost of editorial processes, peer review, DOI registration of the article, digital archiving, and making the article freely available online to all readers.

Authors are required to pay the APC only after their manuscript has been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication. The APC does not affect editorial decision-making or the peer review process.

The standard APC for an article is USD 50. However, full waivers are available for the following criteria:

  • Collaboration articles written by multiple authors from two or more countries.
  • Authors from low income and lower-middle income countries (as defined by the World Bank).
  • Authors without grant support are also eligible for a full waiver of APC. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work. Authors are advised to inform editors about these circumstances during the submission process.

Upon acceptance of an article, an e-mail will be sent to the corresponding author with details on how to make the payment. Failure to pay the APC within the given time may result in the delay of publication.

APCs are non-refundable once the article is published, except in cases of withdrawal by the journal due to unforeseen editorial issues. For more details or to inquire about waivers or discounts, please contact the journal at journal.pec@msdinstitute.org.
